Judith A. Romanelli

AGE: 66 • Wilmington, NC

Judy, age 66, of Wilmington, NC, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2015. Born in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Bill and Shirley Abrahams, she was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, a lead majorette, which brought her much joy, she then went on to University of Delaware. During her professional years, she worked for Atlas Powder/ICI Americas, and DuPont, where she eventually retired from their Human Resources Department.

Judy was an avid reader, who cherished time with family, walks on the beach looking for sea shells, and dining out with her husband. With a gift of gab and being a good listener to those close to her, as well as people in her community, always chatting with them about their lives, adding advice, anecdotes and a good laugh.

She was a truly an amazingly strong willed woman. During challenging times, her indomitable will, spunk and sense of humor saw her through with grace. Most of all, Judy loved her family fiercely, supportive, never mincing words, always coming from the most pure and loving space in her heart.

Judy was a loving wife, daughter, big sister, mother, step mother and grandma who will be dearly missed. Her love and devotion will never fade away, her spirit is so close to us, and will be remembered with such deep love and laughter through our cherished memories.
